This project was a collaboration between the Loxton Chamber of Commerce and Loxton Mens Shed, thanks to funding from the District Council of Loxton Waikerie.

Locations are listed below, or a map is available from the Loxton Library and Visitor Information Centre, 25A East Terrace Loxton.

Loxton Riverfront

Overlooking the mighty River Murray, these River Red Chairs sit pride of place at the newly developed town wharf within the beautiful Apex Park picnic grounds.

Close by is Loxton’s Pepper Tree, believed to have been planted in 1878.

The Pines, Loxton’s Historic House & Garden

Set amongst 2,000m² of beautifully restored gardens from yesteryear, these River Red Chairs allow you to sit back in time and appreciate the historic standstone villa that was built in 1909 by one of Loxton’s pioneering families.

Habel’s Bend

Adjacent to BIG4 Loxton Riverfront Holiday Park, these River Red Chairs sit at the base of the magestic Habel’s Bend cliffs.

A short but steep climb will take you to what locals call ‘Heaven’, one of the best vantage points in Loxton.

Loxton Community Conservation & Heritage Park

At the western entrance to town, this community project depicts Loxton’s development from early settlement.

Featuring an early homestead ruin, native plants, and ornamental fruit trees along an 800m walking trail, these River Red Chairs are a tranquil resting place.

Moorook Riverfront

Surrounded by lagoons and wetlands Moorook is alive with bird life where you can often spot Whilstling Kites and the endangered and beautiful Regent Parrot.

With easy access to the longest straight stretch of the River Murray known as Seven Mile Reach, these River Red Chairs are in a great spot to watch ski-ers come and go.

Kingston On Murray

And if you’re keen for a round of golf, the Club’s 18 hole course has an abundance of Aleppo Pines, various gums and other trees lining the fairways that hbeen ranked amongst the top ten courses in South Australia.
